The following provides guidance for researchers submitting Kinesiology resources that are in the public domain and/or free of copyright restrictions. KOREN is a collection of educational materials that supports accessibility to Kinesiology research and addresses the diverse needs of end users in sports, health, and wellness fields. Submitted materials may be reproduced, adapted, and distributed in various tangible formats, including print, recorded media (video or audio), and electronic formats.
Submission Content List
- Ideas - The tangible expression of ideas may include posts, blogs, and social media platforms such as X (formerly known as Twitter).
- Common Facts – Examples of facts can be incorporated into slideshows, surveys, or questionnaires.
- Hypothesis – Investigating a proposed theoretical explanation that examines various theoretical concepts.
- Theories – Preparing and familiarizing users with theories that relate to Areas of Research within the Kinesiology field (i.e., Motor Learning Theory).
- Discoveries, Processes, Systems – Through semi-structured interviews, researchers can discuss findings (i.e., knowledge gathered through observations), processes (i.e., hypothesis formation), or systems (i.e., the broader contexts in which these factors occur).
- Videos - YouTube videos that are available for public use, or audiovisual materials composed of educational digital materials created by the researcher.
- Individual research websites – Websites that relate to specific Kinesiology content that are publicly accessible (https://self-compassion.org)
- Peer-Reviewed Open-Access Journals - Publicly available articles (i.e, PLOS One).
- Open Access Research Repositories – Research resources will be drawn from various university open-access databases (ie, journals, book chapters, and Ph.D. dissertations).
